A Grand Summer is on the Horizon
It seems like it has been so long since we have seen smiling faces, instead we have become accustom to smiling eyes and straining our ears to hear through each others face coverings. But our region and New York as a whole has made tremendous progress and we at La Tourelle are very excited to see business as usual returning to the Finger Lakes, Ithaca, and La Tourelle!
16 months ago we started this news page to give everyone a quick reference on what is available at La Tourelle through the ever changing lanscape of 2020, covid, and New York State regulations. While we are extremely happy to see the decline in cases and the increase in responsible decision making by so many we are still asking that our guests consider their surroundings when visiting La Tourelle with conscientious awareness of others comfort. Here are the quick details:
New York State is no longer requiring face coverings indoors for individuals who have received their vaccine.
La Tourelle will not require or request guests provide any proof of this to enter our building, instead we have chosen to continue our tradition of thinking of each guest as a member of our extended family and thereby treating them as such. We request that if you have not had your vaccine to please continue wearing a face covering in public areas in consideration of our team, our family, and our guests.
August Moon Spa will continue to require ALL guests and clients to wear a face covering at all times in the spa. This includes reception, locker rooms, tranquility rooms, and treatment rooms. We very much look forward to relaxing this regulation but as of June 1st it is still a requirement for clients, guests, and staff. Please contact the spa directly for the most up to date protocols.
Gleefully, you will likely see some smiling faces on our team members when you visit. If our staff have been vaccinated they can choose not to wear a mask indoors when they are able to socially distance from others. All team members will be required to wear a mask while in a guest room that is occupied or will have an arriving guest.
With that....we invite everyone to come join us at La Tourelle, The Bistro, and August Moon Spa this summer to soak up the sunshine, tour our wineries and waterfalls, and stop by our nightly wine hour featuring complimentary local wine by the glass every night from 5-6pm. We look forward to meeting new guests and welcoming many of our return guests back to Ithaca!
